Verification (KYC) at casinos without OASIS: documents, time, problems

The first withdrawal almost always comes after verification, known in the industry as KYC (“Know Your Customer”). The operator matches name, date of birth and address against documents and usually also checks that the payment account belongs to the player. At operators without a German licence, this step is still one of the most common reasons why money does not arrive. How processing times, limits and payment routes look once the check is done is covered in the overview of withdrawals without OASIS.

The basis is the data from lcb.org, casino.guru and askgamblers.com on 7Signs, Wild Tokyo, MyStake and Sportaza (as of 05.10.2026) and the wording of the German Interstate Treaty on Gambling and the Money Laundering Act. For all four brands, the sources name a check before withdrawal. What is missing at casinos without OASIS apart from the exclusion register, and who runs the brands, is summarised on the home page.

The most detailed list is given by lcb.org for 7Signs: ID card, passport or driving licence, proof of address, proof that the payment method belongs to the player, proof of deposit, a selfie with ID, plus video and phone verification. Below it stands the line “Additional procedures potentially required”, so the operator explicitly reserves further steps. For MyStake, the same source lists ID card, passport or driving licence, proof of address, proof of payment method ownership and video verification. For Wild Tokyo and Sportaza, the sources we analysed give no document list, only rules on the procedure, which follow below.

Proof of payment method covers every account money flows through: card, e-wallet or bank account. At MyStake it even decides which payment routes are open. According to lcb.org, after creating an account you can initially play only with cryptocurrencies; “full access to other payment methods” comes only once the casino has verified the account. PayPal does not appear in the payment lists of the four brands in the sources we analysed, so a PayPal account cannot serve as payment proof there either. For operators with a German licence, § 6a(4) GlüStV 2021 sets the timing. Until the player's details are confirmed, playing and withdrawals are not permitted. One exception allows play via a player account “for a period of 72 hours from registration” up to a deposit limit of 100 euros. The player must confirm a notice that nothing is paid out until the details are confirmed (gesetze-bayern.de, retrieved 07.10.2026).

The Money Laundering Act adds to this rule. Under § 16 GwG there is no threshold amount online, so the duty to identify applies from the first euro. When the player account is set up, the operator may identify the player provisionally from a document copy sent electronically or by post, but “full identification must be completed without delay” (§ 16(8) GwG, gesetze-im-internet.de). On top of that comes § 8(3) GlüStV: online, identification is done with technical procedures before the match against the OASIS exclusion register, which takes place immediately before the first game. Without a verified identity, a licensed German operator cannot tell whether someone is excluded.

These duties apply to operators that the GGL lists on its whitelist. A full-text search of the whitelist (list updated 02.10.2026, retrieved 07.10.2026) returned no match for 7Signs, Wild Tokyo, MyStake or Sportaza. At the four brands, each operator decides the timing, and the sources show three patterns. MyStake allows crypto play after the account is created and requires verification for all other payment routes (lcb.org). At Sportaza, a player reports on askgamblers.com: “Sportaza doesn't allow account verification before making the first deposit.” According to this report, documents cannot be submitted in advance; the check starts only after the first deposit. At 7Signs and Wild Tokyo the check sits before the withdrawal: casino.guru writes about 7Signs that many players experienced withdrawal delays “even after completing verification”. At Wild Tokyo, according to casino.guru, the finance department handles verification requests and withdrawals only on working days.

The sources give fixed times for only three brands, and they vary widely. 7Signs: document check 0–10 days according to lcb.org, elsewhere in the same source “KYC: Within 10 business days”. MyStake: “KYC: few hours” according to lcb.org. Wild Tokyo: “Verification Speed 1-5 days” according to askgamblers.com, processing on working days only according to casino.guru. For Sportaza, no source gives a check time. The check comes on top of the normal withdrawal processing time; at 7Signs that is 0–5 days pending according to askgamblers.com and at most 3 working days according to lcb.org. According to askgamblers.com, neither 7Signs nor Sportaza pays out at weekends.

Among the problem areas we analysed from forums and player reports on casinos without OASIS, verification ranks third with 18 entries, behind licence questions and delayed withdrawals.

At 7Signs, a player on askgamblers.com says he submitted “over 10 pieces of documents” for a win of €22,343 and has been waiting for more than 40 days. Another reports that his account with €7,000 in winnings is not being verified; a third, that the site blocked him with a balance of €4,400 after the verification request. One more case is solely about proof of address for a withdrawal of €13,500.

At MyStake, a player on askgamblers.com describes submitting ID, video and proof of address; the withdrawal was nevertheless rejected and an investigation announced: “they will investigate my account 6 months”. In the casino.guru forum, another MyStake customer reports repeated requests – bank statement, video with a sheet of paper, deposit details – for a rejected withdrawal of about $4,500: “They repeat to me a lot, that I send my bank account statement.” These reports contrast with the “few hours” given by lcb.org.

At Sportaza, one case on askgamblers.com concerns source of funds, meaning proof of where the deposited money comes from: “they keep rejecting documents for source of” funds, it says. This proof is not on any of the document lists above and only appears as an extra request.

What the cases have in common is that the document list in the terms is not final. 7Signs states this itself with “Additional procedures potentially required”. Anyone facing a larger withdrawal has to expect that payment proofs, a video or proof of source of funds may follow after ID and address.

Besides processing time, two worries come up on gutefrage.net. One player asked whether he would get into trouble with his bank because he needed a bank statement with his address for verification at an online casino. Another looked for operators that send no letter home “to check identity, for example”.
