Self-exclusion and closing accounts at operators without OASIS
Rules with provision and primary source, values per casino with source.
At operators with a German licence, one application to the RP Darmstadt is enough, and the block applies to every connected form of gambling at once. The nationwide OASIS block register has no effect, however, on accounts at brands that, according to AskGamblers, take part in no self-exclusion register.
There are only two routes there. Either the operator has its own self-exclusion tool, or the player asks support in writing to close the account. Both work for that one brand only, not for other sites. What else separates casinos without OASIS from the regulated market is summarised on the home page. Status of the rules and brand data: retrieved 07.10.2026.
The 4 casinos compared
| Casino | Self-exclusion | Responsible gambling tools |
|---|---|---|
| 7Signs Casino | kein Selbstausschluss-Tool | keine Limit-Tools (Einzahlung, Einsatz, Verlust, Zeit), kein Selbstausschluss, keine Auszeit, kein Realitätscheck; nur Selbsttest |
| Wild Tokyo Casino | Self-exclusion tool available | Selbstausschluss, Auszeit (Cool-off) und Realitätscheck vorhanden; keine Limit-Tools (Einzahlung, Einsatz, Verlust, Zeit); kein Selbsttest |
| MyStake Casino | not stated | begrenzte Optionen |
| Sportaza Casino | Self-exclusion tool available | Selbstausschluss und Selbsttest vorhanden; keine Limit-Tools (Einzahlung, Einsatz, Verlust, Zeit), keine Auszeit, kein Realitätscheck |
Why OASIS does not apply here
Querying the block register is a duty that comes with the German licence. Under § 8(2) GlüStV 2021, blocked players may not take part in public gambling; this is enforced by the operator checking OASIS before play. A brand that holds no German casino licence and is not on the GGL whitelist is not connected to this check. According to casino.guru, 7Signs and Sportaza name licences from Anjouan and from the Tobique Gaming Commission, only Tobique according to AskGamblers; Wild Tokyo a Curaçao licence, and MyStake Curaçao according to casino.guru and Curaçao plus Anjouan according to LCB.
The GGL describes the consequence in its FAQ: operators without a connection lack "measures such as deposit limits or self-exclusions". That also covers the 24-hour block via a button. Under § 6i(3) GlüStV it has to be permanently visible for licensed online casino games and is entered into OASIS. For the four brands covered here, no such button is required.
The reverse also holds: an existing OASIS block is not checked by these brands. Anyone who wants protection there needs a block with that operator itself. A former player sums up his situation with other offshore operators on Reddit: there were no OASIS checks, no deposit limits and no effective player protection.
Self-exclusion by operator
The data comes from the tool lists on AskGamblers and from player reports on casino.guru. There is no official register that checks such tools for these brands.
- 7Signs (Rocketship Ventures S.R.L.): no self-exclusion tool, no time-out, no limit tools for deposits, wagers, losses or time; according to AskGamblers only a self-assessment questionnaire is available. Support via 24/7 live chat, email and phone.
- Wild Tokyo (GBL Solutions N.V.): self-exclusion tool available, plus a time-out and a reality check. According to AskGamblers DE, a short time-out of 1, 3 or 7 days can be activated. Limit tools are missing. Support via live chat and [email protected].
- Sportaza (Rocketship Ventures S.R.L.): self-exclusion tool and self-assessment questionnaire available according to AskGamblers; no time-out, no reality check, no limits. Support via 24/7 live chat and email.
- MyStake: no data on self-exclusion. casino.guru notes "limited responsible gaming options".
It stands out that 7Signs and Sportaza share the same operator and are still listed differently: no tool at one brand, a tool at the other.
For MyStake Casino there is no AskGamblers page with a tool list, so no reliable data exists. Two player voices on casino.guru paint a thin picture: one user lists "no responsible gaming tools" as a downside, another reports on the German page that there was no option to close the account in the menu. These are individual reports, not checks by any authority.
At Sportaza, the tool list and player reports contradict each other. AskGamblers lists the tool as available, while a user on casino.guru writes: "Unable to close game account even if you report being addicted". Anyone starting self-exclusion at one of the four brands will find the function, if it exists, in the account settings; otherwise the route is chat or email.
Deleting, closing or blocking an account: the difference
The questions in Google search are almost identical: how do I delete my casino account, my gaming account, an online account? For operators with a German licence, the law sets the direction. Under § 6a(7) GlüStV 2021, players must be given "the option to close the gaming account at any time", and closing it may not be more complicated than opening it. For brands without a German licence this rule does not apply; their own terms decide.
Three things are often confused. Closing an account ends the relationship with one brand. Self-exclusion at an operator is a block for a set period or permanently, again only at that brand. An OASIS self-exclusion applies at every connected operator and lasts at least three months under § 8a(6) GlüStV.
At licensed operators these levels sit close together. Players report on gutefrage.net that closing accounts at bet365 and bwin, or pressing the "Konto sperren" (block account) button at winfest, led to an OASIS entry that then also applied in a Tipico shop and in an amusement arcade. One player writes that he went to the settings and chose "block account". Anyone who only wants to delete should therefore read which function they are selecting. Such a block does not end when the account is deleted; under § 8b it is lifted only on application to the RP Darmstadt.
At the brands without a connection, no OASIS entry is created, whichever button is pressed. If there is still money in the account, the order matters: a closed account can no longer be used for a payout, and closure can be delayed while verification is running. How long withdrawals without OASIS take and which daily limits apply, for example €500 per day at 7Signs, Wild Tokyo and Sportaza according to casino.guru, is covered on the withdrawals page.
For 7Signs, a user on casino.guru reports that live chat refused to close the account: "No self exclusion tools, no way to close or block account". A written request by email, by contrast, leaves a dated record; in the complaint cases on AskGamblers, players submitted exactly such emails as evidence.
When the operator does not respond
Player reports on this point are numerous. Of 151 player voices analysed, 16 concern a self-exclusion at an offshore operator that did not work. Three patterns repeat.
The request goes unanswered. On AskGamblers, one player describes how 7Signs ignored his self-exclusion request for about two months; during that time he lost $2,190. By his own account he had sent more than ten emails: "For how many months do I have to ask before you answer??". At Sportaza, another player complains that his account was still not closed after several months.
The account is reopened. A Sportaza player had set a permanent exclusion and later found the account open again, with a reference to an update: "I noticed that my player account had been reopened!". He then lost €1,146. On gutefrage.net, a player who had repeatedly closed accounts because of addictive behaviour asks whether he can reclaim money after casinos reopened them.
An offer instead of a block. At Casombie, a brand that according to casino.guru has since closed, a VIP manager answered a request for exclusion with a bonus of 50 Canadian dollars. For licensed operators, § 8(4) GlüStV prohibits pressuring blocked players to apply for the block to be lifted; for brands without a German licence this rule does not apply. In another case the casino stated that the player alone was responsible for making sure no new accounts were opened.
What remains: mediation portals such as AskGamblers or casino.guru accept such cases but do not decide bindingly; in the cases analysed, AskGamblers sometimes sided with the casino. Players and an addiction counsellor on gutefrage.net also mention blocks outside the casino. The counsellor points to filter software that screens out all gambling sites and names programs such as Betblocker, Gamban and GamBlock. One player asks whether his bank can block transfers to gambling sites; the sources analysed give no definitive answer. Further help for anyone who wants to practise responsible gambling or is losing track is collected on its own page. According to the GGL, BIÖG offers free phone counselling on 0800 1 37 27 00, Monday to Thursday 10:00 to 22:00, Friday to Sunday 10:00 to 18:00.

FAQ on self-exclusion and deleting an account
How can I delete my casino account?
At operators with a German licence, closure must be possible at any time under § 6a(7) GlüStV 2021 and may not be more complicated than opening the account, usually via the account settings. At brands without a German licence their terms decide; if there is no function, a written request to support by email remains.
How can I delete my gaming account if there is still a balance?
The balance should be paid out first, because a closed account can no longer be used for a payout. At 7Signs, Wild Tokyo and Sportaza, casino.guru lists a withdrawal limit of €500 per day.
Does my OASIS block work at 7Signs, Sportaza or MyStake?
No. These brands have no German licence and do not check OASIS; according to AskGamblers, 7Signs, Wild Tokyo and Sportaza take part in no self-exclusion register, and there is no data for MyStake.
Does 7Signs offer self-exclusion?
According to AskGamblers, no: no self-exclusion tool, no time-out and no limits, only a self-assessment questionnaire. One player reports that his exclusion request went unanswered for about two months.
Is deleting an account the same as a block?
No. Deleting ends the account at one brand. An OASIS self-exclusion applies at all connected operators for at least three months. At licensed operators, the "Konto sperren" (block account) button can lead to an OASIS entry according to player reports.
Does an OASIS block end if I delete the account?
No. Under § 8b GlüStV a block is lifted only on written application to the RP Darmstadt, at the earliest after the minimum period has expired.
What can I do if the casino ignores my self-exclusion?
Repeat the request in writing and keep the emails; players have submitted such cases to AskGamblers and casino.guru, but their decisions are not binding. According to the GGL, BIÖG offers free counselling on 0800 1 37 27 00.
